Doors close...open windows!

I've come to a cross roads today....this one door has closed but now there is an open window! I can take a moment to breathe some fresh air. I find it also refreshing that there is a gentle rain outside. A cleansing of sorts, for my mind and soul. I can spend some time now writing the half dozen or more books that have been on the backburner. I can also work on the mound of pattern ideas that have been keeping me awake for some time....and then there is that ever increasing, overflow of fabric that is begging for attention!...Blessings and comfort to all today!

Moda Blog Hop!!!

I found it by sheer luck ahead of time, so I'm going to help spread the word. Quilters there is a blog hop going on with interesting stories, along with a common theme for the hop. This hop is about taking an idea, creating a block and putting them all together for a finished quilt. There seams to be giveaways on every blog, including the block pattern and a chance to win designer fabrics, How cool is that!!!!

I started at the beginning, with Laundrybasket Quilts with Edyta Sitar who happens to be one of my absolute favorites! I have collected three patterns each day and left comments. (It would be awesome to win some of these gorgeous fabrics to add to my stash and to play with for some of my upcoming quilt designs!

Have fun everyone, whether you join the hop or just spend some time in your sewing room, let the creativity flow!

Here is the link for the first hop, each blog has the blog hop schedule!

Okay folks, it's been some time since I visited the blog page. I guess the busy day to day life or just lack of attention to it, has left me a little "home sick" so to speak.

I ventured to WV over the first week of July for some festivities to WV's largest celebration of July 4th...that small (but with a Big heart) town of Alderson. We spent most of our time where the crowds were promoting our clothing line with new designs set for release for early fall.

I've been setting up and adding to my various pages on Facebook! At some point I think they all need to group together and just be one. Not sure how well that will work considering they are for totally different types of items with different focuses. Anyway...we shall see.

I've finally signed up with most of the media sites to help launch what I hope to be my busiest venture ever...be on the look out for some awesome things from Heirloom Needle Works, the purest heart of my being. It is the sum of what I am about!

Til next time!....
